The Murder of Kim Wall
This week Katie brings us the murder of Kim Wall.
Kim was a vivacious investigative journalist from Sweden who pushed the limits of her writing career and produced award winning and captivating articles on fringe and lesser known topics, people and ideas.
In 2017, she was tasked by an unknown media outlet to interview a Danish entrepreneur, Peter Madsen. The two set out for a tour of the ocean on his submarine. But things didn't end as expected. Madsen murdered Wall during this interview. He was charged with first degree murder and serving a life sentence in a Denmark Prison.
This is a tragic tale of a life cut short. Kim Wall was ambitious and gritty and her death is a true loss to journalism and humanity at large.
